We are a family of 5 originally from Ohio. We purchased Bear Paw
Resort in August 2005. We have spent our family vacations at
resorts just like Bear Paw and we understand what your needs are
to have the best vacation ever. We sold our family seasonal
farming business to follow our dream. On a personal note, all we
can say is, it is so beautiful here. We have been awe struck
over all the wildlife that we have seen, listening to the loons,
hearing the eagles, seeing the loons and eagles teach their
young how to catch fish, watching the gorgeous sunsets, smelling
the lake air, and the pines on a leisurely drive with your windows
open. We can go on and on. There is too much to tell in this
short paragraph. This is why after vacationing in this area we
chose to live here and raise our family. We hope that you make
vacation plans for this area as well, it is truly God's Country.
On the Resort, we are completely renovating Cabin #4 for the
2009
summer. All cabins will eventually have new windows, half log
siding, knotty-pine interior, and new bathrooms (1 cabins to
go). We are very excited about these updates. Cabin #8
that won't be totally remodeled yet will still have necessary
improvements made to provide very comfortable "homes on the
lake" for your stay. We have 3 children, Joshua 15, Jacob 12,
and Rebecca 11. They enjoy people and are very sociable
children. The New Shuffleboard court has been a huge hit for
summer of 08'. Moving the horseshoes to the center of the Resort
has also been enjoyed by many. We added the Water Bongo with the
launching pillow for the 2006 summer season which has been tons
of fun for all ages. The New Rainbow Playground Play-system is thoroughly
enjoyed by many children as well. The kids call it the "Park".
Many parents commented how nice it was that the kids had plenty
to do and wore themselves out and slept great. Bear Paw Resort
will continue to be a great Family Retreat for vacation as it
